Debtor profile statistics
The Insolvency and Trustee Service has just released statistics on the profile of debtors that entered personal insolvency procedures during the 2008/09 financial year.
The statistics break down the profile of debtors into occupation, age, gender, and also outline what these debtors identified as the factors contributing to their insolvency.
The Official Assignee administers all personal insolvency procedures in New Zealand including bankruptcy, the No Asset Procedure and Summary Instalment Orders. The Official Assignee also administers some Court-appointed liquidations.
The statistics found online are available to the public and are regularly updated. For access to this information click here.
